Okay, so here's why I think that.
Sure, Eddie's death was tragic and unexpected, but it came from heart problems that rose from his steroid abuse. So he pretty much brought that on himself.
As far as Chris goes, he killed himself and his family. He doesn't deserve any pity. Have fun in hell, murderer.
So neither of these "legendary wrestlers" will get any pity from me.
Though, in my opinion, eddie was never any good of a wrestler anyways.

Well this is my opinion...
In the world of wrestling most of the performers have taken steroids and there's no deny about that, I still have pity for Eddie altough I ackownledge that the cause of his death is his own fault but nevertheless he was a great performer.
As for Benoit I agree with you! There's no pity for a man that kills a 7 year old son and his wife, that just shows he as man was nothing but a coward and not a very good person (whatever were his reasons) I have no respect for the person and presently I don't know even if I have respect for him professionally because his being as person also influencies him professionally (I'm sorry but I'm not one of those persons that can separat personal and professional life so easily).
As an in-ring performer no one can say that he wasn't talented, but for his actions he should be forgotten and not tributed or remebered. His no role model for anyone now
So as for Benoit, biker once again, I agree with you!
Just don't add Eddie into this mix because it's such a diferent situation that it shouldn't even be compared

Well, I've always been of the opinion that Eddie brought it on himself, because he did. The heart conditions were brought on by completely voluntary long-time steroid usage. However, it appears that WWE agrees with us as well. Looks like he'll never be getting inducted into teh hall of fame. In fact, if you go on the official WWE website, they removed almost all mention of Benoit. Even under the Wrestlemania XX DVD, it says "Triple H defends his World Heavyweight Championship against Shawn Michaels", notice Benoit has been removed, lmao! Pretty much everything related to Benoit (minus the story on what happened and his actual Superstar page) has been deleted. All the merchandise has been removed. Search for "Benoit" on wweshop.com, everything has been "discontinued". So it's a safe bet to say that he will never become a Hall of Famer.

Eddie was a legend. Sure he had some personal demons but he overcame them. Once it appeared all the obstacles had cleared from his path his past came up from behind and grabbed him.
Now Benoit killed his wife, child and then took his own life like a coward.
RIP Eddie

I will always remember Eddie Guerrero despite his personal issues. Like T-Roc said, he overcame them and was trying to get past it all but it just caught up with him. I still respect him for what he accomplished and did for the business.
Regarding the other person mentioned my response is, Chris who? Someone who could do such a thing to his own family does not even deserve to be mentioned. I think the WWE is doing the right thing with their merchandise.
On a side note, I never did get to see the CRF tribute to Eddie match. FX kept promising to upload it somewhere so I could download but he never got around to it. I heard from other folks that it was very exciting.

Eddie is and will always be a legend.
I'm still waiting for the 100% proof on Chris, There isn't yet and unless my questions from the other topic are answered I will still think him a legend.

I allways tought Eddie and Chris were two of the greatest of all time.
Sure Benoit did a thing that's unimaginable...killing a young child, his own son, and his wife...it's beyong schocking.
But i think nobody can take from them what they did in the ring, they were great wrestlers.
Plus, and i'm not trying to excuse anybody, we don't know anything except what we are told.
Sure there are no excuses for murdering his family, but until i see the investigations end, and conclusive reports come out, i won't say anymore about Benoit.

Eddie and chris were great performers no denying that, but steroid use comes with the game, they wanted to be there and they wanted to be on the top, they used them to get bigger so that they could be better, they took them knowing what could happen.
And well I think that both of them deserve recognition for what they did in ring even if Chris did murder his son and wife he still deserves to be known for his in-ring abilities. Although it is also stated that it might have been a mental disorder due to concussions and steroid use. Eddie and Chris are completely different cases the only thing the deaths have in them is steroid use. But lets save our opinions until ALL evidence has been proven.

Actually Steroids don't come with wrestling, I for one can admit I've never had to take steroids. Steroids though do affect temperment I know that for a fact.

Yeah, I severely doubt that Chris' death had anything to do with steroids what-so-ever.
However, you folks seem to misunderstand me. There's a difference between acknowledgment and pity. I'm not saying we shouldn't be awed by their careers, but we shouldn't have any type of pity for the deaths they brought on themselves.
Maybe I'm just a heartless bastard. Frankly, I don't care.

Well pretty much most professional wrestlers use them to get bigger and also i think that they might have played a factor.
Also i do get what your saying i was just saying that they were great performers. And well Eddie does deserve a little pity because well he was just doing something to get better and get on top and he didnt kill anyone, although benoit did kill his wife and kid so he doesnt deserve much pity.

Yes. Eddie was doing something that is illegal to get on top. If he was just lifting harder, or something, that's understandable, but he did something against company by-laws to do that.
