Man behind the Monster

[Monster]

Monster's theme song plays over the speakers. Monster comes out from the backstage and walks down the aisle. He seems a lot more focused than usual as he climbs into the ring. He turns to face the video screen and then just stands there, flexing his muscles.

The video screen comes on and it shows a mysterious figure wearing a hooded robe that covers most of the face. The figure smiles into the camera and then begins to speak.

Greetings CRF. Allow me to introduce myself to you. Up until now I am sure you all thought that my monster here was nothing more than a powerful, brainless freak. While that is true to some extent there is more to him than meets the eye.

You see I am the one who controls this beast you see before you. I am the only one he truly listens to. Up until now I have been content to remain veiled in mystery and hidden from everyone. I am afraid that recent events that have transpired have forced my hand. [/color]

The figure pauses and turns his head slightly.

What events am I talking about? I am talking about this meddling avenging angel named Fido. He is slowly tipping the balance and he must be stopped. You see Fido, good cannot exist without evil, light without darkness, or Monster without my guidance.

Up until now Monster only needed his raw and powerful strength to defeat his enemies. I never had to get too involved until you showed up. Well Fido, I have a little surprise for you at Carnage. I have been conditioning Monster and he has learned quite a few new techniques.

The figure raises up a lighted candle that is flickering in the air.

Fido, you will be much like this flame that stands before me. Your light will shine only as long as I allow it to.

The figure blows on the candle and the flame goes out. The video screen cuts off to the sounds of laughter.

Monster is left standing in the ring, staring at the backstage.

OOC - I had too much trouble using promos as Monster only. So now I have found a new way to add speech without changing my character. Now I can do some better promos.

[Fido "The Avenging Angel"]

The scene opens up with Fido asleep in a hay loft. He wakes up and frantically looks around. He realizes where he is at and calms down.

Fido: The light shall not be blown out. For if it was, this world shall be condemned. The light shall grow stronger and brighter the closer we get to heaven, but what shall the grievious people do when all hope is lost?

Fido climbs down and exits the stable and makes his way through the city. He sees people gazing in windows and pointing. He makes his way into a store. He sees people scrambling and fighting for the last toy or game. He goes to the Customer Service desk and asks for the phone, he begins to speak over the P.A system.

Fido: Customers, there is a very special guest here today. To meet this man, head over to where Santa is supposed to be. He will be waiting there.

All the kids start crying because they want to see Santa. People make way to that little area and are shocked to see Fido standing there.

Fido: Poor souls. Ye listen to your kids like they are the adults. Why has this world become so afraid. Didn't Moses say to raise your children? Yea, times have changed and we have been more wicked than we were 2008 years ago. Even when Jesus walked this earth, we were wicked. Ye all have turned Christmas into just a holiday. A holiday to spoil yourselves! Woe unto you! for the time will come when we all will be changed in an instant.

Fido goes over to a tree and grabs the star off it.

Fido: Doth this star mean anything? Or doth that angel over in that aisle mean anything? Both were present 2008 years ago. For we let that star become dim and we have turned that angel away. People are losing hope because of this. There is a man who is seeking to destroy me. Just because when darkness seems to take control, the light begins to shine again.

Fido takes the star and softly places it back on the tree.

Fido: Careless world. Your love went from worshipping to the love of money. People who are poor try to live rich, and the rich try to live poor. Liars. Thou shall not decieve the world.

Fido leaves with sorrow. He continues to the country side and he sees 3 wooden crosses on the side of the road.

Fido: Father, thine eyes have seen such sin and unhappiness. what shall I do? Ye sent your son that through him we may be saved and not condemned. Why doth people not hearken their hearts and ears to this. For a man has arose and is out to destroy me. Father I ask that thou shall give me the strength to defeat these men. For I would love to bruise the head of thy adversary. Ye sent Jesus to bear the sins of the world, he was the light. And now, thine light is in danger. Oh why father hath Satan sent a men who is looking to destroy something in the way? Ye shall have your way. Ye have given me a charge and if it means destroying Monster and this mastermind, I will do so. For if Jesus would have gave up, what hope would there be.

Fido looks over and sees a rainbow.

Fido: I see thy promise. I will go and prepare. This is a battle that shall leave a impact on the world. Monster, prepare for a battle, that ye and thine master will not be ready for. Time will tarry, and when time is done, there will be one victor. For Paul hath said there is Victory in Jesus. I will pursue victory at my bodies expense.

The scens cuts off after Fido stops speaking.
