The titan tron comes on and it shows the last CRF match that Adam Matthews competed in. Draven is the special referee and Fido has just pinned Adam Matthews. Draven does a really slow 3 count to try and give Adam Matthews time to kick out but he does not. Fido wins the match and his hand is raised in victory.
A voice comes on over the video.
Adam Matthews: "That was just two weeks ago."
The video screen changes and reveals Adam Matthews sitting in an expensive recliner. The camera pans out and reveals what appears to be a living room. There is an expensive couch beside the recliner and a huge flat screen HDTV on the opposite wall. The floors are hardwood and there is an expensive Persian rug on the floor. The camera focuses back on Adam Matthews, who is still sitting down in his recliner.
Adam Matthews: "Now I am sure each of you has some sort of opinion about what you saw in that match. I do not care what your opinions are because opinions are just like each of you, they are a-holes. Everyone's got one and they all stink. The only thing that matters is the truth."
Adam Matthews reaches for a glass of wine from a nearby coffee table. He takes a sip of the glass and then grins.
Adam Matthews:"The truth is I wanted Fido to win that match. Draven wanted me to regain the CRF Traditional title belt but I don't care about it anymore. It is obvious that the only traditional champion who possessed any real talent was me. I do not care about anyone's ambitions except my own."
Adam Matthews takes another sip from the glass and then swirls it in his hand. He smells the aroma and sets the glass down.
Adam Matthews:"Now I have been thinking the past few weeks about this whole takeover thing. Even though I am more talented than both sides combined, it is obvious that I will have to side with someone in order to get the matches I deserve. It was not until I watched Judgement on that TV"
Adam Matthews points to his big screen HDTV mounted on the wall.
Adam Matthews: "that I made my final decision. I have decided to team up with the only side that has any talent at all, no matter how little it may be. I am pretty sure everyone knows who I am talking about. Draven, congratulations, I have decided to team with you in your vision of a new era within the CRF. Your team has a long way to go in order to be as good as me, but with me at your side you have already won. I could never lower myself to the level of people like Minarin, Nail, or Fido. I may as well quit CRF altogether if I was going to do that."
Adam Matthews reaches for his glass of wine one more time and remarks.
Adam Matthews: "See you all at Revolution."
The screen turns off.
TBC anyone
