(The cameras are in the locker room with Gary Phoenix, about 15 minutes after he saw fellow eXtinction members Livewire and Magician in the hallway. He is now ready to give his thoughts on what went down at Vengeance)
I dont even wanna think about that elimination chamber match at Vengeance, it was one of the worst matches of my career. Not only did I lose, and not win the championship, but every member of eXtinction got eliminated, we were the first three wrestlers gone from the match, and the worst part is that we eliminated each other in selfish moves. We didnt think about the consequences of that.
Magician, im not trying to make excuses, but you gotta think about something. When you eliminated me, there were five superstars left, three Draven supporters, and two eXtinction members. They outnumbered you three to one, but you decided to pin me anyways, probably not thinking at the time. But when I had pinned Livewire, I had no choice to face him one on one at the start of the match. I got rid of him fairly quickly, because I knew that that would mean one man gone, and that I still had you as backup Magician, two to three isnt that bad. Livewire, im sorry for throwing you through the glass chamber. I dont know about pinning you, but putting you through glass was unnecessary, and I guess I got a little carried away. I was furious right after the PPV. Fans, if you wanna see me fired up, buy Vengeance when it comes out on DVD. I had a post Vengeance interview, and I was pissed. Im alot more calmed down now though.
It just burns me up to now see Jake Jones with the championship, when I know that could be one of us. Jake Jones is now the new face of the CRF, and for now, there is really nothing we can do about it. If one of us would have been at least one of the last two men in the match, im sure we could create an argument about getting a title shot, but we were all the first three eliminated. I did not picture it this way. I certainly hope the Mystery Man can do something about this.
As far as I go, mark my words, I WILL become a top contender for the championship again. Towards the end of this series, I became burnt out, I wasnt on my game I guess. I started becoming a finalist in battle royals, only to lose. But that all changes come Carnage, when I get back to my winning ways. Draven, I dont care who I face this week, give me anybody, I still got some rage in me from what I had to see at the end of Vengeance, so whoever you put in my way, they WILL go down!
(The camera fades out with Gary just staring at the camera with a smile on his face)
TBC: Anybody
