[We’re at Carnage, the opening promo of the night. The fans sit in excitement, waiting to see what will be said after the chaos that was Armageddon. The Dark Match that they had just witnessed was somewhat exciting, but they were waiting for words. “Apocalypse Now” by Muse plays over the speakers. The people in attendance who had seen last nights event knew what this meant, but some still sat in confusion, not knowing what the hell was going on. Half the crowd cheered as the vignette played on the screen, but then Eric Omega made his appearance on the stage, and the entire arena erupted with cheers. They finally had a savior.
Omega has a genuine smile on his face for a moment, as he walks down the ramp, and into the ring. He walks to the turnbuckle, and climbs to the second rung, and lifts his arm up in celebration. The crowd cheers louder, flashbulbs go off, and Omega, for once, is happy. He jumps off the turnbuckle, gets a microphone, and addresses the crowd.]
Omega: Boy, is it good to be back in CRF!
[The crowd erupts in cheers again. Omega waits a whole minute before quieting the crowd down.]
Omega: However, despite the fact that I am jubilant about my return, I don’t have time to revel in my own amazingness. I have to get down to business. Despite what I thought may be the case, last night was not a huge victory for either side. Yes, Nail’s betrayal definitely hurt CRF. And the fact that Draven remains chairman might not be great. But then again, who knows if Fighter-X could maintain CRF like he once could. Ice’s return was not something that I foresaw, and the man who fought with Nail last night? I can promise you, he is not I. Despite the allegations that he looked exactly like me with a mask on, I was not in the ring with Nail last night.
So I have quite a bit to discuss. And I’ll save the best for last. I’ll start with Draven. Draven, you remain the chairman of CRF. And I’m not sure what that means. While I am currently against you, I can’t help but recall that, in spite of your power-hungry techniques, you’ve done SOME good for CRF. You’ve been the key to my employment here on two separate occasions. You’ve kept me around despite the fact that your boss, and your men, and even you didn’t want me around. And you did it for the good of CRF. That was a wise move. And you’ve made a few other wise moves as well. So while I cannot completely be against your regime, I will do whatever it is that I can to reform it. Trust me.
Now, on to Vayne. You are as impressive as ever, old friend. You soundly defeated a man who was once at my right hand, and you appear to be at the top of your game. But keep this in mind: you are not as good as me. You may think that you could defeat me, but you’re wrong. You claim that my height was during my Execution days, but I will make those times look weak. Eric Omega is back, and with a vengeance. And if you think that you can beat me when you’re playing second fiddle to Jake Jones, and third fiddle to Draven, then you are VERY mistaken.
And finally, Jake Jones…
[The crowd boos the mention of Jakes name.]
Omega: I have to ask Jake, what’s it like to come so close, and yet be so far away from success? You have that belt around your waist now, I know. But what’s it like to know that you can’t even defeat a man who you once followed? What’s it like to know that you can’t defeat someone you used to match up evenly with? When I was here last, you were underneath me. Everyone knew it. The fans, the opposition, and even you. Deep down, YOU knew that you were underneath me. And in a time of chaos, a time without Eric Omega, or Ice, or Fighter-X, or Monster, or Arc, or T-Roc, or any of the other major players that CRF has seen, you rose to prominence. But now, I’m back. And I can see the fear in your eyes, Jake.
I heard you worry for your championships sake before knowing it was I that you’d be facing. I saw the fear in your eyes when you saw me make my appearance. I felt you quiver when we first tied up. And when you first got me with your little punch, I felt the weakness in your arm, and I knew that my mere presence drained you of that power, that confidence, that got you to where you are now. And when you had everything on your side, momentum, advantage, everything. When you saw the chance to put me away, and close the book on who was the better man, you failed to get it down. And in one swift motion, I ended the match, and I started the end of you.
So Jake, I have to know, what’s it like to know that everything that you are, is about to be torn down and stripped from you by someone who has ALWAYS been better than you? I ask because this is not something I’ve ever experienced, and it’s something that you’re currently going through. Does it hurt? Does it sting? Does it kill your confidence and your pride? Or are you ignorant enough to look at me as though I’m not a threat? Because, Jake Jones, I guarantee to you, I am the BIGGEST THREAT YOU WILL EVER SEE. I can end you with a thought, and you seem to believe that you could stand a chance against me. And it’s that weakness, that overconfidence, that will be your undoing. SO, Jake, the time will come, very very soon, where you and I face off again, and that title will be on the line. But it will be more than just a title match. It’ll be a match to find out who has the control, who has the power, who has the respect, the fear, in CRF. And I can personally guarantee that you will not be walking away victorious.
So, Good Luck, Jacob. Because soon, everything that you are will be taken from you. And I mean everything.
[The crowd cheers as Omega leaves the arena. The scene fades to a commercial.]
